This Editorial Policy applies to all journals published by the International Academic Research Consortium (IARCON). All IARCON journals adhere to this policy to ensure consistency, transparency, editorial independence, and the highest standards of scholarly publishing across the entire journal portfolio. The policy is developed in accordance with the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and internationally recognized best practices expected of high-quality scholarly journals, including indexing standards such as Scopus.
Editorial decisions are based solely on the scientific merit, originality, relevance, methodological quality, and ethical compliance of submitted manuscripts. Editorial decisions are free from commercial, financial, institutional, or personal influence.
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial evaluation to determine whether they fall within the journal's scope and comply with submission requirements, ethical standards, and publication policies. Manuscripts failing to meet these requirements may be returned to the authors or declined before peer review.
The Editorial Office is responsible for managing the peer review process in a timely, fair, confidential, and unbiased manner. Suitable independent reviewers with relevant expertise are selected, reviewer reports are evaluated, and editorial decisions are made based on the reviewers' recommendations and the manuscript's scientific quality.
Editors may issue one of the following decisions:
The final decision regarding publication rests solely with the Editor-in-Chief.
Editors ensure that all published research complies with ethical principles relating to human participants, animal welfare, informed consent, ethical approval, conflicts of interest, data integrity, authorship, and research misconduct. Allegations of unethical conduct are handled in accordance with COPE guidelines.
All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin or equivalent similarity detection software. Editors evaluate similarity reports and investigate suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabricated data, image manipulation, or other forms of research misconduct before making editorial decisions.
Editors and reviewers must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest. Individuals with conflicts that could affect their impartiality will not participate in the editorial assessment or peer review of the manuscript.
Editors, reviewers, and editorial staff shall maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and associated correspondence. Information obtained during the review process shall not be used for personal advantage or disclosed to unauthorized individuals.
Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting, language editing, formatting, reference verification, DOI validation where applicable, proofreading, and author proof approval before publication to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with the journal's publication standards.
The Editorial Office is responsible for compiling accepted manuscripts into scheduled journal issues, assigning pagination, metadata, DOIs (where applicable), and ensuring that all published articles meet the journal's formatting and quality requirements before publication.
The Editorial Office provides guidance and assistance throughout the submission, peer review, revision, and publication process. Authors may contact the editorial office for technical support, submission assistance, or clarification regarding journal policies and procedures.
Editors are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record by issuing corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions when necessary, following COPE recommendations and established publishing best practices.
Authors may appeal editorial decisions or submit complaints regarding the editorial process. All appeals and complaints are handled fairly, transparently, confidentially, and without prejudice in accordance with the journal's Complaints and Appeals Policy.
IARCON journals regularly review and update editorial policies and procedures to align with evolving international publishing standards, ethical guidelines, technological advancements, and indexing requirements, including those recognized by Scopus, ICMJE, and COPE. The Editorial Board is committed to maintaining the highest standards of editorial quality, transparency, research integrity, and academic excellence across all IARCON journals.
