The results follows: (1) The lead recorded in local sheep meat (3.24 ppm), while local beef and imported meat recorded 2.88, 2.71 ppm, respectively. All concentrations t exceeded the internationally permissible limits (0.1 ppm), (2) The cadmium recorded in local beef (4.18 ppm), while local sheep and imported recorded 1.38, 1.85 ppm, respectively. All cadmium concentrations exceeded the internationally permissible limits (0.05 ppm), (3) The copper recorded in local beef (7.74 ppm), while local sheep meat and imported meat recorded 7.56 and 7.06 ppm, respectively. All copper concentrations exceeded the permissible limits (2 ppm), respectively and (4) The zinc recorded in imported meat (40.33 ppm), while local beef and sheep recorded 39.01 and 38.89 ppm, respectively. All zinc concentrations detected in the studied meat within the internationally permissible limits (10-50 ppm). The results analysis of the selected samples indicated the diagnosis of 13 pesticide residues in 10 samples out of 30 samples, i.e., 33% of the tested samples. The imported meat recorded the highest percentage of pesticides, while the meat of Tikrit sheep was free of residues and the presence of one residue was observed in Both Sharqat sheep meat and Tikrit beef. The most abundant pesticide is Hexamethylphosphoramide, which was found in 4 samples.</abstract></article-meta></front><body /><back /></article>
