The importance of such a program has become vital in an emerging economy like India due to westernization and the increasing risk of Non-communicable diseases in the twenty-first century. We present our study to investigate the various factors within and outside the school environment that influenced school capacity for implementation and potential sustainability of wellness programming in an urban and suburban school in India. School health program in India needs a well-structured protocol for effective implementation. Health education plays a vital role in promoting good health in kids. Collaborative partnerships between healthcare and the education system are required for schools to improve outcomes.
