Emergency lockdowns had been put forth for limiting social contact to prevent the spread of the virus. Adapting to social distancing measures and managing the fear of contracting the virus may deleteriously affect the mental health, as observed in earlier epidemics like the 2003 SARS outbreak and 2009 H1N1 outbreak. A cross-sectional study was conducted with google forms. Data was collected for 16 days, where 606 students voluntarily participated in the survey. The survey includes a series of self-reported questionnaires: The Depression, Anxiety and, Stress Scale-21 Items (DASS-21); the Insomnia Severity Index; the Suicidal Ideation Attributes Scale (SIDAS). Gender did not have any significant correlation with depression, anxiety, stress, insomnia and suicidal ideations. Students who often felt the lack of companionship had significantly higher relation with depression, anxiety, stress, insomnia and suicidal ideations. Depression, anxiety and insomnia were significantly higher among students who followed poor diet habits. Depression and insomnia were significantly higher among students who endorsed altered workout routine. The present study points to the importance of companionship, diet habits and workout routine which have been affected during the lockdown.&amp;nbsp;
</article-meta></front><body /><back /></article>
