He furthered his academic pursuits with a specialization in Kayachikitsa, obtaining an MD from Govt. AVC Thiruvanantapuram and later a PhD from Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune.

As a seasoned academician, Dr. Jithesh has held various teaching positions, starting as an Assistant Professor and eventually ascending to the role of Professor and Head of the Department of Kayachikitsa at VPSV Ayurveda College, Kottakkal. His expertise extends across disciplines such as Kayachikitsa, Manasroga, Rasayana, and Research Methodology.

Dr. Jithesh's administrative acumen is evident in his tenure as the Medical Superintendent of VPSV Ayurveda College & Hospital, where he played a pivotal role in the institution's management and accreditation processes.
